CECILIA'S JOURNEY IN THE USA: 2002 – PRESENT TIME
Getting into the USA was not easy. Moving a family and a business is even harder. Dealing with immigration was a nightmare. Freighting essential and carrier oils had many setbacks. It took years and literally, blood, sweat, and tears!
Because I had spoken at an international conference in Salt Lake City in 2001, we (my husband Errol and I) met influential people who offered us business opportunities. Uncertain of where we should live and work, we had to decide between two offers – one in Chapin, SC., and the other in Warrenton, VA. We tried both cities. After managing our clinic and producing products in Warrenton, which included us travelled to Washington D.C. a couple of days a week to run our clinic from a doctor’s office, we decided to move to Bountiful, UT. I ran my clinic from a chiropractor’s office and built up a good clientele. Five months later, we decided to move to Provo, UT and made it our permanent abode. So, for the third time in one year, I had to start over AGAIN! More hard work and more blood sweat and tears. One year later I was invited as a guest speaker on a TV show with a return invitation soon afterwards. After the return visit, I was given the opportunity to promote my products nationally, including Puerto Rico, on the TV show. Because of the wide audience, I had to do a bulk production. I decided on promoting my four best sellers, but the manufacturing company I chose did not wash their huge containers properly after their last product run so their ingredients contaminated my ingredients. Sadly, 16000 jars had to be dumped, resulting in a massive financial loss. Never, and not once, did I remotely consider cutting ingredients for the sake of costs. My standards have remained extremely high, no matter what the costs. Continuous hard work over the next 20+ years was fruitful and rewarding.
My last brick and mortar store for eleven years had a history of flooding after heavy rain or snowstorms. I could not get anyone’s attention focused on the problem, especially after a massive flood in 2023. We raised black mold concerns but to no avail. Early 2025 I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) which was removed, and a few weeks later, another massive rain and snowstorm revealed black mold. Consequently, everything was tossed and lost, and the clinic and health shop were closed down. Once again, I find myself at the crossroads of starting over. This time I am doing online sales only.
I keep with me my formulas, my knowledge, my experience, my expertise, my books, and my commitment to continue making the same products I have been making these past few decades. My résumé includes the facts that I have formulated for companies who privately labeled my products as well as a very large international MLM company.
I am driven by perfection and high quality, and the many, many clients I have become acquainted with over the years, know that I will not substitute quality for costs cutting or inferior ingredients.
After 37 years, this is my final crossroad and journey, and I look forward to spending this time with you!
